Bishop Manogue Catholic High School offers a number of scholarships created and funded by private donations and benefactor memorial gifts. We offer both need-based and merit-based scholarships. The criteria used for each scholarship are specific to each fund. BMCHS does not offer any athletic-based scholarships.
A detailed timeline of enrollment, application, and scholarship deadlines can be found here.

To be considered for financial aid or need-based scholarships, please follow the process detailed below.

Step 1

STOP! If you are applying for merit-based scholarships ONLY, you may skip this step.

All other scholarship applicants (i.e. financial aid and/or need-based), complete the SMART AID Application.

  • Applications for the 2025/26 school year will be available on November 18.
  • This is different from a Tuition Payment Plan.
  • Parents will need to have the most recent tax returns prepared in order to complete the SMART AID Application.
  •  Applications must be completed by January 10. A completed application includes all required documents submitted to Smart Aid. Only completed applications will be considered for financial aid awards and needs-based scholarships.

Please email businessoffice@bishopmanogue.org with any questions.

Step 2

  • General scholarship applications will be available on November 18. Complete application for Scholarships HERE
  • In order to be considered for a need-based scholarship, parents must complete the Smart Aid application in Step 1.
  • Contact Jane Festa at Jane.Festa@bishopmanogue.org with any questions regarding scholarship applications.

Step 3

State Funding: Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program allows students to receive a scholarship to attend private schools, pending family household eligibility. These scholarships are offered from sources outside of Bishop Manogue. You can find additional information HERE.

Continued Eligibility

Scholarship applications and Smart Aid applications will need to be filled out annually to continue receiving assistance. To remain eligible for financial aid, a student must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and remain in good behavioral standings.  If at any time during the school year, a student does not meet academic standards or does not adhere to the policies stated in the Bishop Manogue Catholic High School Parent-Student Handbook, Bishop Manogue may refuse or revoke any financial aid awarded.
Bishop Manogue Catholic High School is a four-year Catholic, co-educational private high school in Reno, Nevada. The only Catholic high school in northern Nevada, it is a separately incorporated non-profit diocesan school operated under the authority of the Diocesan Bishop, Daniel H. Mueggenborg.
