Walk With Mary | May 3

In 1859, Our Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Adele Brise at the site of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion and shared a powerful message: “Gather the children in this wild country and teach them what they should know for salvation.”

This beautiful calling reminds us that at the heart of education is the journey of life itself — a pilgrimage we are all on, and one we must prepare ourselves and our children for.

Let’s make 2025 a year of pilgrimage! The walk will be scenic starting and ending at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Thomas Aquinas in downtown Reno. The full route will take us along the peaceful Truckee River to Ivan Sack Park, a 4.6-mile loop of nature and reflection.

Not up for the full route? No problem! You can always take a shorter path, turning around at Idlewild Park for a 2-mile loop — or feel free to join us at any point along the way.

Let’s walk together, reflect together, and make this pilgrimage a journey of faith, fun, and community!
  • Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas at 10 am
  • Walk to Mary at 11 am
  • Students can earn up to 5 service hours
Bring the whole family! Send your email address to livefatima@protonmail.com to receive updates.
